Prospero Health and Social Care have a fantastic opportunity available! We are looking for fulltime permanent Support Workers to work with children with learning disabilities in a beautiful setting on the edge of a town.


About the organisation:

Working within small family housing groups, established and friendly teams.

Residential home for children with learning disabilities and challenging behavior aged 6 to 19.

Therapeutic and creative setting with own vegetable patch and swimming pool.

Workshops such as: carpentry and performing arts.


The role as a Care Support Worker:

Support children in achieving positive and meaningful outcomes in line with person-centered plans.
To arrange and participate in activities such as swimming, workshops, arts and crafts.
Promote and ensure the well-being of children and staff including the safe administration, monitoring and recording of medication.
Keep care records up to date in line with Ofsted requirements and best practice.


About the ideal Care Support Worker: 

  • NVQ Level 1 or above preferred.
  • Enthusiastic, caring and empathic towards children with learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Some experience required and understanding of complex needs. Prospero can offer free online training.
  • A calm attitude and the ability to manage challenging situations.

Hours and Benefits
