Children’s Support Worker
About the job
We are currently looking for experienced Care Assistants/ Support Workers who are already registered with Social Care Wales in order to work within a residential home setting with children and young adults.
For this role you must be flexible to work irregular hours e.g. early morning, evening, weekends, sleep-ins. As some clients may live in rural areas and shift times may vary, public transport is not always readily available, access to your own vehicle or reliable transport is desirable.
Your Role You will undertake a professional role, safeguarding and promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people and providing care and support to enable children and young people to develop their full potential, in a residential home setting.
You must be registered with Social Care Wales to practice in a residential home for children and young people in Wales (mandatory registration introduced 1 March 2008). It is essential that you are confident and comfortable with delivering assistance with day-to-day tasks and other general activities that allow the service user to live their life the way they choose with dignity.
