Teach abroad: Australia

Cheap flights are available in May for UK healthcare professionals looking to relocate to Australia!

How do I apply?

You are eligible to apply if you are:

  • From the UK and aged between 18 and 30 (or up to 35 from Ireland)
  • Have a working VISA
  • Ready to travel before 30th September 2022.

How does it work?

Qatar Airways have made 200 discounted plane tickets available as part of the project. Young people can purchase a return ticket from Dublin, Edinburgh, London Heathrow or Manchester. Holiday starter packs must be purchased which include a 3-night hostel stay, a voucher and information on how to set up a bank account and find a job.

How can Prospero assist you?

Prospero has been helping young professionals settle into work overseas for many years. We are here to support you on an individual basis with this process. What better way to realise your dream than with a team of friendly, knowledgeable education consultants behind you while you settle in?

What are the implications for nurses and healthcare professionals looking to relocate to Australia?

The scheme is aimed initially at ‘working holidaymakers’, with work available in farms, outback stations, and hospitality. However, there are options to extend your stay, particularly if you are qualified to work in healthcare and education settings.

Once you have worked in a rural area for 12+ weeks, you can secure a second year on your working visa. Therefore, this is a very viable option for a healthcare professional looking to explore Australia over the summer before securing a nursing position anywhere in the country for term 1 in 2023!

Get in touch with the team at Prospero today if you’d like to find out more information. We have a dedicated international team who can advise and support you every step of the way.
