Prospero Health and Social Care is actively seeking skilled individuals to join outcomes-focused management teams. As a Care Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of residential children’s homes. Your aim is to provide high-quality care to vulnerable young people, ensuring their placement meets relevant standards and adheres to trauma-informed ways.

What to Expect in the Role of Children’s Home Manager:

As a crucial member of a care home management team, you will work alongside external and internal multidisciplinary teams, ensuring service compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Typical Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant residential care environment.
• At least 2 years supervising and managing staff, ideally at the Deputy Manager or the Registered Manager level.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
• Ideally, a “Good” or “Outstanding” grade in recent inspections.

Key Responsibilities as a Social Care Home Manager:

1. Lead an outcomes-focused team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the residential home.
2. Develop and manage high-quality care plans for young people, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and relevant quality standards.
3. Service Delivery: Collaborate with internal multi disciplinary teams, deputy home managers and senior support workers to ensure young people recieve non-judgmental care and are fully supported emotionally.
4. Work within a Care Setting, provide management support that meets the needs of children and young people with challenging behaviors and adverse childhood experiences.
