This rewarding role is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in social care and a commitment to empowering people with complex needs. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll help manage daily operations, including overseeing support hours, staff rotas, and promoting a solution-oriented, inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Manager in managing and coordinating the service’s day-to-day operations.
- Develop, recruit, and lead a motivated, caring team in a fair and consistent manner.
- Provide hands-on support with daily activities, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and medication management.
- Act as the Service Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in a management cover rota, which may include day and night shifts.
- Driver with a valid UK licence preferred to support with transport to the service and driving service vehicles.
About You:
- Experience in social care as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Supervisor.
- Familiarity with supporting individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs.
- Skilled in budget management and understanding relevant regulatory standards.
- Committed to maintaining a safe environment while supporting positive risk-taking.
- A strong team player with a positive outlook, motivated to drive continuous improvement.
