Children and Young People Support Worker

Location: Sussex-Wide

Rate of Pay: £17.00 – £22.00 per hour

Prospero Health & Social Care are looking for Experienced Children Support Workers to engage in temporary contracts to deliver the very best standards and quality of care to Children and Young People in care and children in crisis.

This role will involve caring for these vulnerable children and young people, helping them to lead fulfilling, stable and fun childhoods and supporting them, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children with additional needs.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.

Placements Available

• Supporting young people in unregulated provisions such as Hospitals, Emergency Accommodation, Hotel / Private accommodation.
• Mother & Baby Placements (i.e. Mother may suffer mental health issues, or drug & alcohol issues)
• A past placement may have broken down and an individual needs to be moved to other accommodation on a temporary basis.
• Respite care for an individual that needs support while a family needs to step away temporarily.
• Supporting court-appointed services such as contact supervision.
• Supporting children in registered residential homes.

• Location – Across East and West Sussex including Bognor Regis, Worthing, Crawley, Chichester, Brighton, Hove, Hastings, Rye, and the surrounding towns and villages
