Job Title: Children Support Worker

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Earnings: £27,500 OTE

Prospero Health and Social Care are looking for a fun-loving and conscientious person to come and join a Good rated nurturing Children’s home – could this be you?

We currently have 6 young people living with us, aged 14 – 17 with emotional difficulties and sometimes behaviours that challenge. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of personalised care for them – focusing on their education, behaviour, physical and mental well-being to support them to achieve positive outcomes when they leave care.

You will be working as part of an experienced team of childcare professionals who will support you fully in this role.

You will be:

• Supporting and mentoring our children in day to day activities to develop their health, emotional and social needs 
• Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living  
• Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development   
• Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development  
• Help young people to achieve as much as they can
• Managing complex behaviour that can sometimes be challenging

The working hours are 39 hours per week which are usually 2 long and 1 short day plus 2-4 sleep ins per month for which additional payments will be made, but flexibility to cover additional shifts required.

OTE £27,500 which includes sleep-ins and monthly bonus scheme.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• UK Driver’s License (strongly desired)
• Sense of humour (strongly desired)
• 1 year of experience in the children’s sector
• DBS on the Update Service.
