Role: Children’s Support Worker

Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas

Pay: £15 – £20ph

Hours:

• Waking watch night shifts – 8pm to 8am

About the role

These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of different challenges. This can include emotional behavioural issues, mental health issues or learning difficulties. You will be required to have at least 1 year of UK experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2:1 + basis.

Duties include:

• Carry out essential regular checks on young people in their placements
• Follow procedures including reporting incidents and/or absconding to out of hours teams and emergency services.
• You will be required to ensure that our children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care and to assist them reaching their full potential.
• To ensure children’s safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times.
• To promote education, independent living and maintain a healthy home environment.
• To provide detailed written notes for each shift.
• To professionally liaise with professionals.
• Uphold essential safeguarding.
• To effectively communicate with the service user and professionals

The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:

• Challenging & aggressive behaviour
• Learning disability
• Autistic Spectrum Condition
• ADHD
• Personality Disorder
• Self-Injury
• Mental health diagnosis
• Victims of the range of abuses
• Inappropriate behaviours

Criteria for these roles are:

• Child and Adult DBS – on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous Experience in a similar role (1 year UK experience).
• References covering the last 3 years
