Role:

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our team and help our service users in need. As a vital member of our staff, you will play a key role in providing care, support, and guidance to children within our residential facility.

Key responsibilities:

. Able to assist children in all aspects of care including personal care and feeding

. Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive living environment for children.

. Collaborate with other team members to create and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

. Maintain accurate and detailed records of each child’s progress and behaviour and complete reports and documentation in a timely manner.

. Liaise with external agencies who are involved in the child’s care and ensure you are taking a holistic approach

. Must be able to respond to crisis situations calmly and effectively, following established protocols.

. Conduct key work sessions as a group or individually to support the young person with their emotional, social and behavioural needs.

To apply for the role:

. Qualified QCF 3 in Residential Child care or equivalent

. Available to work as a part of a shift basis, including evenings and weekends

. Must have at least one year’s UK experience working with young adults and children within a residential settings or similar setting.

. Have an accurate understanding of adolescent’s development, trauma informed care and evidence based interactions.

. Have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to process a new one through Prospero

. Be able to provide an up-to-date CV that dates back to education with dates for all employment.

. Be able to provide 3 years professional references.

We need:

A female member of staff

Competent and confident in working with children with disabilities.

Competent and confident in supporting children in all aspects of their care, including feeding and intimate personal care for some children.

Qualified QCF 3 in Residential Child care or equivalent

Available to work as a part of a shift basis, including evenings and weekends. (we are closed all Sunday nights and bank holidays).
