As a Children’s Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, working directly with children and young people in various settings to provide emotional and practical support. Your role is crucial in helping children develop essential life skills and overcome challenges they may be facing. Key responsibilities include:

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. **Direct Support:** Offer emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to children and young people in need.
  2. **Individualized Care:** Create and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child.
  3. **Safety and Well-being:** Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  4. **Communication:** Maintain open and effective communication with children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  5. **Behavioral Support:** Assist children in developing positive behaviors and coping strategies.
  6. **Life Skills:** Support children in acquiring essential life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  7. **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate records and documentation of your interactions and observations.

**Qualifications:**

– Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or qualifications are a plus).

– Experience working with children or young people in a support or care role.

– Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children’s lives.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the changing needs of the children.

Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to process an Enhances DBS through Prospero.
