Childrens Learning Disabilities Support Worker

Up to £13.30 p/h

Various shift patterns (Days & Waking nights)

Part time/Full time

Prospero are currently recruiting for a client who supports Children with learning difficulties in a fantastic, modern short break setting. They love to provide a home away from home for children of all disabilities.

This is a temporary position with a view to permanent for the right candidate.

Epilepsy training is particularly desirable

We will pay more for Bucal Midazolam trained staff.

To be a great fit for the Children and team our client is requiring the following:

  • Friendly upbeat can do attitude
  • Be able to think outside the box when it comes to activities
  • Previous experience working with children with learning difficulties
  • Manual driving licence holder with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • Personal Care experience
  • Moving and handling
  • Be able to cook and clean
  • Love to have fun and not take everything too seriously!

To Work With Us, You Will Need

  • 6 months paid, hands-on experience
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users & Prospero
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable: DBS on the update service
