Childrens EBD Support Worker

Up to £13.30 p/h

Various shift patterns (Long days & Sleeps)

Prospero are currently recruiting for a client who supports Children with Emotional Behaviour. They love to provide a relaxed, homely environment for the children up to 17 years old.

This is a temporary position with a view to permanent for the right candidate.

To be a great fit for the Children and team our client is requiring the following:

  • Friendly upbeat can do attitude
  • Be able to think outside the box when it comes to activities
  • Previous experience working with children with EBD
  • Manual driving licence holder with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • Be able to cook and clean
  • Love to have fun and create a lovely positive atmosphere
  • Resilience

Duties would include:

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people
  • Providing a nurturing and stable environment for children who may have experienced instability and disruptions in their lives
  • Encouraging the development of social skills and positive relationships among the children in their care
  • Helping with day-to-day tasks such as homework and household chores
  • Ensuring that the residential care setting is clean, safe, and appropriate for young people’s needs.

To Work With Us, You Will Need

  • 6 months paid, hands-on experience
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users & Prospero
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable: DBS on the update service
