Prospero Health and Social Care have a range of children support work roles available within and around Cardiff and RCT areas. Prospero are looking for staff with existing experience in this type of support, and are confident working from lone working environments to higher ratio settings. You will be helping children and young people through turbulent times in their lives, offering support while keeping them safe
The hours are flexible and you can work around your own timetable. The hours available for the roles include:
- Day shift
- Waking night shift
- Sleep ins
- Long day sleeps
Criteria for these roles are:
- Full right to work in the UK – no sponsorship or skilled visas.
- Qualification in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care preferred.
- Must have previous experience in a similar role with 1 year minimum UK experience.
- Child and Adult workforce DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
- References covering the last 3 years of employment.
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Supporting vulnerable & difficult children, with different types of mental health issues,
- Assisting with the completion of care plans, risk assessments, reviews and incident & accident reporting,
- Contributing to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting learning, independence and experiences,
- Building relationships with the children and providing high levels of care and support,
- Supporting routines, from normal household routines like waking up and getting out of bed, to activities outside,
- Adhering to company policies and procedures.
