Prospero Health and Social Care are proud to be working with a leading provider of residential childcare services in Waterlooville. They are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children affected by trauma, neglect, physical and emotional abuse, as well as those with learning disabilities. They have a 4-bedded home, located in a detached property, offers en-suite bedrooms and ample outdoor space for recreational activities.
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Children Team Leaders to join the team and make a real difference in the lives of the children we support. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and mentoring to a dedicated team of Residential Childcare Workers. You will help create a safe and nurturing environment where children can heal, learn, and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to residential childcare staff.
- Develop and implement care plans, tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the home.
- Foster a positive and therapeutic environment for children affected by trauma and neglect.
- Coordinate and participate in outdoor activities and recreational outings.
- Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to meet the needs of the children.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Assist with staff training and development.
- Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding within the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a residential childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and attachment theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation:
- Basic wage: £14.15 per hour.
- Contracted hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Overtime rate: 1.25x for overtime.
- Sleep-ins: Between 4 and 5 sleeps per month, paid at £40 per sleep.
