Prospero are searching for a talented Clinical Practitioner in Eastbourne in East Sussex to support a service that houses and cares for adults with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Practitioner, you will work within our multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with our local foundation trust. You will provide a clinical service to a caseload of individuals supported by the organisation. This will include the provision of specialist interventions under the supervision of our Clinical Lead, according to formulations rooted in evidence-based best practice.
Responsibilities:
- Take on a visible supportive role within the organisation, with direct responsibility and accountability for the quality of our service provision
- Be a part of providing a specialist Clinical Psychology service, as agreed with the wider multi-disciplinary team around the individual and under the supervision of our Clinical Lead
- Have responsibility for holding and managing a clinical caseload and to act under the supervision of our Clinical Lead for planning, prioritising, and delivering assessment, treatment, and discharge of individuals within the service policy
- Produce clinical formulations and support the delivery of specialist interventions according to NICE guidelines and evidence-based best practice
- Provide specialist assessments and adjust psychological interventions to work effectively with people presenting with complex needs due to cognitive impairment and organic disorders
- Communicate in a skilled manner with the individual and their family/carer to engage, involve and support throughout the assessment, formulation, and treatment process
- Undertake risk assessment, review and management for individuals with complex needs and continually monitor risk to ensure this is communicated effectively with the multi-disciplinary team
- Support the Clinical Lead to devise, run and supervise therapy groups, as agreed with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure all clinical work is adequately recorded; and to prepare clinical reports as required
- Participate within ward rounds, case conferences and CPA meetings as required
- Liaise with internal and external colleagues as required
Requirements:
- Experience, skill, and passion to take a personal responsibility for ensuring high-quality provision
- Enhanced DBS check
- This position may require travel, an expense policy is in operation
- Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychiatric Nurse and/or registration with BCBA, BPS, HCPC
