About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and motivated Deputy Manager to join an established Children’s Residential Service. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure high-quality care, positive outcomes, and a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with CIW and all relevant standards and legislation.
  • Lead, inspire, and supervise a dedicated staff team, promoting professional development and best practice.
  • Deliver a child-centred approach that safeguards young people and supports their emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, incident reporting, and quality assurance processes.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, staff, families, external agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Act as Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and high-quality care.
  • Take part in the on-call rota as required.

About You:

  • Experience working in a children’s residential setting (essential).
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within social care.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to promoting positive outcomes and making a lasting difference in young people’s lives.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
