Deputy Manager

Prospero Health and Social Care are working with a provider of residential childcare based in the centre of Birmingham who are looking for a new Deputy Manager for a children’s home based in King’s Heath. The role of the Deputy Manager is to assist with the development of the service, to assist in the day to day running of the home, and to work towards improving the quality of the service.

The Role:

As a Deputy Manager, will play a crucial role in shaping a positive environment for each young person. Your responsibilities will include:

• Embodying our ethos and values within the organisation and out in the community.
• Ensuring safety, health, and education for every young person.
• Upholding professional practices in line with regulations and quality standards.
• Active engagement in residential childcare delivery per company policies.
• Stepping into the managerial role in the absence of the Registered Manager.
• Collaborating directly with Residential Care Workers and the young residents.

Requirements:

We seek enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals who have:

• Previous experience in residential childcare settings.
• A passion for working with young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Essential qualification: Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce / NVQ 3/4/5 in Caring for Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification.
