Deputy Manager Children

Prospero Health and Social Care are looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager to assist in the day-to-day management of a 2-bedded children’s home in the peaceful countryside between Tiverton and Wellington, with easy access to Exeter and Taunton. Responsibilities:

• Assist Manager in day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and ROTA management
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
• Provide guidance and support, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment
• Contribute to individual care plans, meeting each child’s needs and goals
• Collaborate with external agencies, families, and professionals for comprehensive care
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

About You:

• Previous experience in a children’s home or similar residential setting
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
• Knowledge of childcare legislation and safeguarding best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine commitment to improving children’s lives
• Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and evenings
• NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent (essential)
