Deputy Manager Children

Prospero are looking for a Registered Manager to oversee 4-bedded EBD home in Milton Keynes that is rated Good by OFSTED. We’re looking for a qualified Deputy Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Home Manager to provide leadership, direction and support to the staff team in order to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained for the young people in our care. Within this organisation, there is a huge focus on training, support from head office and every member of staff is trained to deliver truly therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the home
• Leading and supervising the staff team to ensure the best possible care for the young people in our care
• Working closely with external stakeholders, including local authorities and other professionals, to ensure the young people in our care receive the support they need
• Participating in the recruitment, training and development of staff
• Ensuring the home is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent qualification
• Experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience of working in a regulated environment and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This role involves both office hours work and shift work, sharing some responsibilities with the Registered Manager and ensuring that the standard of care on shifts across the day are maintained at a high standard.
