Prospero Health and Social Care are supporting a growing and well-regarded residential childcare provider who are looking for a talented Deputy Manager to help lead a team of residential support workers to support children and young people in Alton in Hampshire. The home is rated Outstanding with a focus on helping children and young people overcome problematic sexual behaviour.
Responsibilities:
- Implement life skills to significantly influence the lives of children and young people.
- Provide leadership by ensuring the welfare and care of each child, offering guidance and support to residential workers.
- Supervise staff, lead shifts, and ensure adherence to placement plans, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and rotas.
- Establish positive relationships with children, meeting their needs while prioritising their safety.
- Instil high standards of care across the staff team.

Requirements:
- Possess NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or the Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, or an equivalent qualification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare working with young people.
- Be 22 years old or above in accordance with children’s homes regulations.
- Hold a valid driving license.
