Prospero Health and Social Care are working with a leading provider in Southampton specialising in providing exceptional care and support to both adults and children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and mental health disorders. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team at our Adults Residential Service in SO16, Southampton.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.
  • Support and mentor a team of care professionals, providing guidance and promoting a person-centered approach.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Foster independence, social interaction, and community engagement among the residents.
  • Liaise with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support and effective communication.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, promoting a safe and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the care sector.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour, and mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the aforementioned conditions and their associated care requirements.
  • Familiarity with CQC requirements and best practices in the care sector.
  • Confidence to be able to deputise for the Home Manager
