Family support worker – parenting support

Prospero Health & Social Care are currently recruiting for an experienced family support worker to help our service users in need.

About the service:

Providing parenting support in the family home by way of routine and structure, helping with cooking, cleaning, reading, writing, doing activities, implementing rules and boundaries so that the parents can learn from to help become more confident in their role as a parent as well as to provide parents with basic knowledge and tools they can use to support their child’s development and well-being.

Shifts – Adhoc/flexible

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Working with young people within the family home, supporting parents
• Supporting and supervising young people who may present with challenging behaviours
• Supporting Parents with light house duties, cooking, cleaning, helping with a bedtime routine
• Produce case reports and correspondence
• Activities
• Providing support to parents with disabilities

Experience, training, and qualifications:

• Substantial experience of working and engaging with young people
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour
• Capable of working well on your own
• Experience of working with people with disabilities
• A positive attitude

To Apply for the role:

• You will have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to process an Enhances DBS through Prospero.
• Be able to provide 5 years references.
