As a Fostering Manager, you will be at the heart of our efforts to support and develop foster carers. You will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our fostering services, ensuring the well-being of children in our care and providing essential support to our foster families. Your primary responsibilities will include:

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Recruitment and Assessment:** Lead the recruitment and assessment process for potential foster carers, ensuring that individuals and families meet the necessary standards and requirements.

2. **Support and Supervision:** Provide guidance and support to foster carers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care to children and young people.

3. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure the agency complies with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in fostering.

4. **Placement Matching:** Work closely with social workers and other professionals to match children with suitable foster families.

5. **Training and Development:** Organize and oversee training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of foster carers.

6. **Crisis Management:** Act as a point of contact for foster carers in case of emergencies or challenging situations, offering support and guidance.

7. **Quality Assurance:** Implement quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards of care and safety for children in fostering placements.

**Qualifications:**

– A relevant qualification in social work or a related field.

– Registration with a recognized regulatory body.

– Substantial experience in fostering or child welfare services.

– Strong leadership and management skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

– Empathy, patience, and a dedication to improving the lives of children.
