Housing Management Officer
Location: Exeter
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00
On-call: 1 in 4 weeks, £100/week when on-call
Are you passionate about supporting individuals towards long-term independence and maintaining high-quality accommodation? This organisation is looking for a proactive Housing Management Officer to join their team in Exeter. You’ll play a key role in managing voids, supporting residents, and ensuring rent arrears and service charges are addressed efficiently.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead the assessment of potential residents and promote Julian House properties across Devon & Cornwall.
- Work with supported housing staff to address rent arrears and manage payment plans.
- Regularly monitor rent and service charge accounts, taking appropriate action when needed.
- Conduct home visits to prevent eviction due to financial issues, working with residents to develop financial management plans.
- Support residents with daily living activities, including practical assistance with cleaning and maintenance.
- Actively report repairs and ensure high standards of accommodation are maintained.
What you’ll need:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (business insurance required).
- Experience working as part of a team in a social or healthcare setting.
- An understanding of complex needs and a client-centred approach.
