Learning Support Assistant
Full time – 09:00 – 16:00 Monday – Friday

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children? Do you have the patience, compassion, and dedication to support children in reaching their full potential? If so, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team and provide support to children with learning disabilities, ASD, and challenging behaviour. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions, ensuring each childs individual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide small group support to children with learning disabilities, ASD, and challenging behaviour.
· Assist the class teacher in delivering structured learning activities and interventions.
· Implement behaviour management strategies to support children in regulating their emotions and behaviour.
· Encourage and motivate children to participate in classroom activities, fostering their confidence and independence.
· Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure childrens individual education plans are followed.
· Monitor and record students’ progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
· Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.

What We Are Looking For:
· Experience working with children with learning disabilities, ASD, and/or challenging behaviour (in a school or similar setting).
· A patient, calm, and empathetic approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
· Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
· Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative to support learning activities.
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
