Job Advert: 3 Male Support Workers for Children’s Residential Care

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? Are you committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive? If so, we want you to join our team as a Male Support Worker in our Children’s Residential Care facilility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.
  • Implement care plans and support strategies tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Encourage and facilitate engagement in educational, recreational, and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to care plans and daily activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience ( one year or more) working with children or young people in a residential care setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in supporting children’s well-being.
  • Must undergo relevant background checks and clearance.
