Prospero Health and Social Care are recruiting for Children’s Night Support Workers. We are working with a Good rated children’s home who are looking for home seeking Children’s Night Support Workers to join their team. They are provider of care and education to children in care across Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a respectful culture and ethos within the home, prioritising the needs of young people and encouraging their personal growth and development.
  • Complete a comprehensive induction and training program.
  • Provide a safe, warm, and stable environment for young people with learning disabilities (LD), those within the Autistic Spectrum, and individuals diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.
  • Manage challenging behaviours.
  • Support individualised care plans.
  • Maintain a safe and caring environment.
  • Keep documentation and records up to date.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation and policies.
  • Promote education and daily living skills.
  • Undertake key-worker responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Experience supporting people with additional needs.
  • Previous experience in the care sector.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above preferred but not essential.
  • If Level 3 qualification is not held, willingness to complete it within 18 months
  • Availability to work weekends as this role involves shift work.
  • Right to work in the UK
