Pastoral Support Manager

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Pastoral Support Manager to join our team and support our young people with autism and learning difficulties. Our school and homes are set in 28 acres of beautiful countryside and offer fantastic facilities including a swimming pool, equine provision, sports hall, and theatre.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will work alongside our therapy, education, and residential care teams to deliver consistently excellent approaches and responses for our young people with autism. You will have a deep understanding of ASD and be able to support our team to develop a better understanding of the condition.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with our multidisciplinary team to formulate the best response to support our young people with autism.
• Review information to identify trends early and establish consistent approaches across our teams.
• Provide real-time mentoring and identify emerging training needs to support our team.
• Lead and facilitate a holistic approach to therapy.
• Build strong relationships with our Therapy Lead, Head of Education, Care Services Manager, and Principal.
• Support the process of assessing potential new placements.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are fully implemented in your work.

Requirements:

• Experience of working in a therapeutic educational or residential environment for children with autism.
• Strong understanding of autism and experience of working with children with autism.
• Experience of delivering training and/or leadership and small team management.
• Full driving license.
