About the role – As a Prison Resettlement Worker, reporting to the Service Development Manager, your role is to actively case work, complex and vulnerable individuals to prevent rough sleeping of prison leavers. This will involve working extensively with external agency such as the Police, local housing services, South Glos homelessness prevention service and prison resettlement staff. Duties will include identifying housing options and enabling access and sustainment for service users. Undertaking assessment of prisoners prior to release and creating personal housing plans, engaging with HMP extensively to identify what support is needed for prisoners before release around housing.

Qualifications and Experience required – Ideally you will have a probation, social work or community support worker background and have knowledge of the criminal justice system. You will be a capable planner, able to work collaboratively, able to build relationships and trust with service users and a good record keeper.
