Family Support Worker – Wakefield

Hours:

• Morning Shift: 7:30am – 10:30am
• Evening Shift: 7:30pm – 10:30pm

Duration: 6-month Permanent Role

Location: Wakefield (WF3)

Salary: £13-£17ph (DOE)

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Family Support Workers to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of a local family. This role involves working closely with the family to provide essential support, helping to create a stable and nurturing environment for the children and assisting the mother in developing vital life skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with establishing and maintaining daily routines for the family.
• Support with domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and organisation.
• Help care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist with meal preparation and planning to ensure nutritious and balanced diets.
• Provide guidance and support to the mother in learning and developing life skills.
• Work collaboratively with 2 to 3 other staff members, offering floating support as needed.

To be considered or this role you will need:

• At least 12 Months work experience working as a family support worker – essential
• 3 years of references without gaps – essential
• An over sea’s police check if required
• A full driver’s licence – Preferable
• An enhanced DBS check on the update service as well as a clean criminal record.
• Preferable but not essential to have qualifications in relevant subject to health and social care
