Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Location: Worthing

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent Full Time Role (or Temp to Perm)

An esteemed residential provider specialising in offering therapeutic care to children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. They are Good rated with the aim of reaching an Outstanding rating on next inspection with a full team of Support Workers.

Prospero Health and Social Care are searching for compassionate individual to join our team as a Registered Manager for a Good rated 4-bed children’s home in Worthing!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated staff to cultivate a nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation, maintaining the highest standards of care.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with stakeholders to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external agencies to support the well-being and development of children in our care.
  • Effectively manage budgets and resources to ensure the smooth operation of the home.

Our client is an established residential provider committed to offering quality therapeutic care to facilitate growth in the young individuals they serve. We specialise in supporting companies who support children and young people who have encountered abusive, neglectful, or traumatic situations, providing them with specialised professional support to navigate the challenges of daily life and thrive in a family-based environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or equivalent; Level 5 or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous managerial experience within a children’s residential setting is essential.
  • 5 years of experience supporting children.
  • Sound understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of mental health needs in children and adolescents.
  • Familiarity with the Children Act & Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people.
