Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum + up to £5,500 performance bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Blackpool

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of an Ofsted-regulated children’s home, inspiring a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care. You will play a key role in shaping the home’s culture, driving high standards, and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the residential home, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Children’s Home Regulations (2015) and achieve outstanding outcomes with Ofsted.
  • Promote the education, personal growth, and well-being of the young people in your care.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated staff team, providing regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee budgets, care records, and administrative systems to maintain quality and efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential childcare, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of children’s regulations, therapeutic care, and child development.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in a childcare setting (or a willingness to achieve this qualification).
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
