£45,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE & qualifications) | 40 hours per week | 6 weeks’ annual leave

Are you a passionate and experienced leader looking to make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs? This specialist service in Castle Cary is seeking a Registered Manager to set up and oversee its new residential facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead and develop a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, and service operations efficiently.
  • Support individuals, including those with dual mental health diagnoses, through transition pathways – preventing hospital admissions or enabling step-down care.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
  • Drive quality improvement through audits, assessments, and staff development.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid CQC registration as a manager.
  • Experience in managing residential services for individuals with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • A solid understanding of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) – a relevant qualification in PBS or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is desirable.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, risk management, and compliance.

What’s On Offer?

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications).
  • 6 weeks’ annual leave – a great work-life balance.
  • Ongoing professional development & training to enhance your career.
  • A supportive work environment where your leadership makes an impact.
  • Auto-enrolment pension for financial security.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a new service and make a genuine impact on the lives of those who need it most. If you have the skills and passion to lead, apply today!
