Registered Home Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Central Coventry (CV1), West Midlands

Package: Up to £54,100
Salary: £44,100 – £51,100 per annum (depending on experience)
Bonus: On target earnings of £3,000 bonus per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This company is looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Home Manager to oversee a four-bedded children’s residential home, which supports young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The home provides medium to long-term care in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and the highest standards of care.
  • Developing individual care plans for the young people and working with multi-disciplinary teams to support their holistic development.
  • Leading, supervising, and developing the staff team, ensuring they provide exceptional care and support.
  • Overseeing the home’s financial management to ensure its viability within the allocated budget.
  • Fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for the young people, promoting positive outcomes and safeguarding their wellbeing.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce, with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent, or working towards it.
  • At least two years’ experience in a residential care setting within the last five years.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing staff in a care role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
