Prospero Health and Social Care are working with an excellent residential childcare provider who are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to join their growing team at our 4-bedded children’s home in the SO51 area. The home has a therapeutic focus and PACE, and we provide this training to all our staff members. We care for young people with SEMH needs and have a Good OFSTED rating. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can help us build on the great things we have achieved at the home.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring that it operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Managing and supporting the staff team to ensure that they provide high-quality care and support to the young people in our care.
  • Building positive relationships with the young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Ensuring that the home provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the young people.
  • Managing the home’s budget, resources, and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Either experience as a Children’s Registered Manager, a great Deputy Manager, or a fantastic Team Leader.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A strong commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of young people.
  • Full understanding of legislation that covers children’s services.
  • A thorough understanding of the SEMH needs of young people and the ability to work therapeutically.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
