Extra Care Registered Manager

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, based on experience, qualifications, and current salary.
Location: Carlisle (working at Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working including early shifts, evenings, and weekends.

This company, a reputable not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a warm, compassionate, and proactive Extra Care Registered Manager for its services in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage two Extra Care services that provide holistic care and support to individuals over the age of 55, including those with physical disabilities, dementia, and complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage two Extra Care services, ensuring a high standard of care and support for older adults.
  • Collaborate with housing providers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated, person-centred support.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC care standards and all statutory requirements.
  • Deploy staff efficiently and effectively, coordinating the delivery of care in line with individuals’ needs and preferences.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the services, encouraging community connections and participation in social activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a relevant care management or practitioner role.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and supervise staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A warm and person-centred approach to working with older people.
