Foster – Social Worker

The Social Worker role involves but is not limited to the following duties:

Working with Local Authority and other Professionals to provide care for children.
Providing a safe and healthy environment for children and young people.
Supporting and meeting their educational needs, attending parents evenings and other school meetings.
Improving and developing the children or young persons physical and mental development.
Facilitating contact with their birth parents and relatives.
Attending and assisting their medical appointments.
Monitoring development and encouraging positive behaviour.
Reporting incidents to Police and Local Authorities.
Producing a pathway plan for when children leave the care-assisting support with money management to ensure a substantial amount of savings are in place for when they leave care.
