Prospero Health and Social Care is currently seeking highly dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Workers for our small Children’s homes in Salisbury, catering to young people with complex trauma and SEMH needs. These homes provide medium to long-term placements and are well-run and stable environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in children’s homes, or be qualified in children’s residential care. However, we are also open to candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of young people and have the necessary qualities of resilience and empathy.

Key duties include:

  • Completing household tasks
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic records
  • Assisting with schoolwork and homework
  • Accompanying children to activities and providing structure in their daily lives
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children to thrive in

The typical working hours involve a combination of long days and sleep-in shifts, with an average of 9 sleep-in shifts per week. In return for your hard work and dedication, Prospero Health and Social Care offers a competitive salary of between £26,180 and £29,400 depending on experience and seniority.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Level 3 Qualification in working with children i.e. the QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce / NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent and a conscientious and resilient personality with experience working with children in care (desired)
