Are you a compassionate and caring individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of children with SEMH needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Residential Childcare Worker in Eastbourne.

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care for children with SEMH needs in a residential environment. You will work closely with the children, their families, and other professionals to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce, although this is not essential. What is essential is that you have experience working with children with SEMH needs and are committed to providing the highest standards of care and support.

This is a full-time role with between 2 and 3 shifts per week, which will include sleep-in duties. The salary for this role is between £24,900 and £29,500 per annum, including sleeps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support for children with SEMH needs
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met
  • Develop positive relationships with the children, their families, and other professionals
  • Implement individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Attend meetings and training as required

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including sleep-in duties
  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (desirable)
