Residential Childcare Worker

Prospero Health and Social Care are proud to be supporting a leading provider of residential childcare and education with services nationwide. They are currently looking for Residential Support Workers for a medium sized children’s home for 9-17 year olds in Hastings.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a reputable and growing childrens residential services care group, providing safe, caring, and nurturing living environments for children and young people.

You will implement care plans in collaboration with the team you are working with, support young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care and in education.

Responsibilities:

· Implement personalised care plans with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each childs unique needs are met.
· Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, integrating insights from social workers, schools, and the management team
· Participate actively in care plan reviews, contributing valuable observations and recommendations.
· Keep abreast of legislative changes, ensuring that all practices comply with the latest standards.
· Offer guidance and resources to families, empowering them to support their childs development effectively.
· Celebrate milestones of independence, no matter how small, reinforcing their sense of achievement and confidence

Requirements:

· Must have the right to work in the UK
· 1 year of experience in the UK care sector supporting children and young people between the ages of 6 and 19
· Experience as a Support Worker in a residential home, supported living home, or experience as an Outreach Support Worker.
· Driver with access to a vehicle (required)
· Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. (desirable)
