Residential Support Worker Hereford

Employment type – Permanent

Location – Cardiff, Wales

Salary – £10.90 – £11.70 per hour plus £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000-£6,000pa)

Hours – Contracted hours are 39 per week. Actual shift pattern is 2 days on, four days off. Shift times are; Day 1- 10.00-23.00, Day 2- 07.00-23.00, Day 3 07.00-10.30. Sleeps 23.00-07.00

About the role – The children in your care will have complex needs and behavioral difficulties. They require emotional support so your role will be to establish trust and give lots of encouragement to help the person’s confidence grow. Duties will include support with recreational activities such as bowling and swimming, basic living skills within the home and accessing the community.

Qualifications and Experience required – There are no formal qualifications required for this position as these will be offered to you within post. Ideally you will have some care experience with children and be happy to work on a rota including days and sleep-ins. Due to the location of the home, you will need a UK driving license for a manual vehicle. Please not the service is also home to a pet cat and dog therefore would not suit a person with allergies.
