Residential Support Worker Children

Prospero Health and Social Care in Southampton are looking for experienced and talented Residential Support Workers to support a medium sized children’s home for children with autism and learning difficulties between the ages of 7 and 17 to start ASAP!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Southampton. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to young people between the ages of 7 and 17 with autism and learning difficulties. This will involve assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and participating in recreational and educational activities. You will also be responsible for promoting independence and helping the young people in your care to reach their full potential.

This role is a full-time permanent position with an average of 35 hours worked every week. Sleep-ins are paid at an additional £66 per night, with a basic wage of £10.25 an hour.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience working as a support worker in a residential setting, preferably with young people with autism and learning difficulties. You should have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by these individuals and be able to provide a high level of support and guidance. A clear DBS check is also required.
