Job Title: Children Residential Support Worker

Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Salary: £24,000 – £30,500 DOE

We are currently seeking Residential Support Workers to provide support for homes in the stunning Salisbury area in Wiltshire. The client that we are supporting run homes that cater to a range of young people’s needs, from solo homes for young people with harmful sexualised behaviour to 4-bedded homes for young people who have had a tough start to their lives.

The purpose of Children Support Workers is to help children to lead normal and fulfilling lives and to overcome challenges they have faced in their lives.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Play a key role in providing young people with a nurturing and supportive environment.
• Enable young people to lead happy and fulfilling lives.
• Care for young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including complex trauma.
• Create a safe and regulated environment that supports their development.
• Lead and support on activities with the children including movie nights, camping, adventurous activities and everything in between.

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates with experience in children’s residential care or working in children’s homes preferred.
• Individuals passionate about improving the lives of young people and willing to learn will also be considered.
• Experience working with young people that can present challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Driver required due to the location of the home.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing household tasks and maintaining accurate electronic records.
• Assisting children with schoolwork and taking them to activities.
• Providing structure and creating a safe environment that supports their development.
