Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: BN3

Salary: £25,500 – £27,500 per annum

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? Are you an experienced support worker with a desire to take on more responsibility and lead a dedicated team of childcare professionals? If so, we are working with an ‘Outstanding’ residential childcare provider who work across East Sussex who are looking for an excellent Senior Residential Support Worker.

They operate multiple children’s residential homes across East Sussex, caring and supporting children and young people who require assistance and guidance in their daily lives. Our team is dedicated to promoting an environment where children can reach their maximum potential.

The Role:

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the provision of care and support to childrena and young people You will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of support workers, ensuring that best practices are followed, and maintaining a therapeutic approach to caring for young people. Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting and guiding a team of support workers in the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Ensuring that care plans and risk assessments are developed and implemented effectively.
  • Conducting regular assessments and reviews to monitor the progress of children.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
  • Liaising with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Assisting in staff training and development initiatives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as a support worker in a residential setting.
  • Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
