Role Overview

As a Senior Social Worker/AMHP in this dedicated team, you will support individuals after their first episode of psychosis, working to empower recovery through a systemic, evidence-based approach. This role requires a compassionate professional with a sound understanding of the Care Act and a commitment to strengths-based practice.

In addition to your work within the Early Intervention Team, you’ll also participate in the centralised AMHP service, operating on a rotating duty basis every 5-6 weeks. This dual role provides professional supervision and engagement with a wider AMHP network, ensuring your practice is well-supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care coordination and assessment, supporting service users’ journeys towards recovery.
  • Use your AMHP qualification to support the centralised AMHP service on a rotational basis.
  • Work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic, strengths-based interventions.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with service users, families, and partner agencies.
  • Promote service user independence, encouraging participation in personalised recovery plans.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Dip SW, CQSW, or degree in Social Work.
  • Qualified AMHP with registration through Social Work England.
  • Post-qualification experience in mental health, ideally within a statutory or partnership setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act and AMHP responsibilities.
