Role Overview

As a Senior Social Worker within the Safeguarding and Care Planning Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable children and helping secure stable futures. This role is suited to someone with strong interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively with families and partner agencies, demonstrating dedication to high standards of social care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out safeguarding assessments and care planning, ensuring the child’s needs are prioritised.
  • Work within a small team to implement care plans and safeguard children effectively.
  • Develop positive relationships with children and families to support meaningful change.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and services to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Engage in quality reflective supervision to uphold best practices in social work.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
  • Registration with Social Work England (or eligibility).
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in children and family social work within statutory or independent settings.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and effective communication skills.
