Senior Support Worker

Location: Swinton, Greater Salford area

Salary: £12.50 – £13.15 per hour – up to £26,520 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

This well-established organisation is seeking a Senior Support Worker to take the lead in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs. You will be responsible for the daily running of personalised services, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and safety standards, and leading a dedicated team of support workers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining warm, trusting relationships with service users.
  • Encouraging service users to maximise their independence and participate fully in their communities.
  • Supporting the team in providing excellent care, including personal care, social skills development, and participation in daily activities.
  • Administering and monitoring medication in line with policies.
  • Supervising junior staff and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

You will be working closely with service users, their families, and professionals from external agencies, ensuring a cohesive approach to support.
