Social Worker

Responsibilities:

As the Social Worker, you will:

• Work alongside the service leadership team to design, implement and ensure robust and fair assessment are completed.
• Work with colleagues to continuously improve and develop the training and induction package offered to both staff and residents.
• Undertake direct assessments of families, though you will have a considerably reduced case load to enable you to effectively discharge other duties.

It is essential that you:

• Hold a degree in Social Work, or equivalent Diploma where applicable
• Be Social Work England (SWE) registered
• Have worked in a residential family assessment centre, community assessment team or conducted assessments in some manner.
• Have excellent report writing skills, good verbal communication and the ability to effectively manage your own workload.
• You must have experience in court report writing
• You must be able to effectively work with parents and children
• You must be able to assess and evaluate reports to a high standard
