Support Worker

As an Agency Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities, and elderly care within their own homes or care facilities. This is a flexible role with the opportunity to work a variety of shifts, providing you with the chance to make a real difference to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals in accessing social activities and promoting community engagement.
• Assist with medication administration and help ensure service users take their prescribed medications.
• Encourage and support the development of life skills and independence for those in care.
• Build strong relationships with individuals and ensure they feel valued and respected.
• Work collaboratively with other care professionals, including nurses and social workers, to meet the needs of individuals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with care plans and agency guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred.
• A compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A valid DBS check on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
• Flexible and reliable with the ability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving license (desired, but not essential).
