Prospero Health and Social Care are looking for Residential Support Workers for small Children’s homes for young people with issues relating to trauma in Salisbury. These homes are for medium to long-term placements and the homes are stable and well-run.
This is for a company that cares for young people that have SEMH needs including complex trauma. As a result, these children require a highly regulated environment with trained staff working with these children to create a nurturing and safe environment. We are looking for candidates who are either qualified in children’s residential care or experienced in working in children’s homes. We would also consider candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of young people who do not have experience in the sector. The two qualities that are vital to succeeding in this sector are resilience and empathy.
Duties include:
The typical hours are a combination of long days and sleep-in shifts with 24 hours being spent at the home, with an average of 9 sleep-in shifts being completed per week.
Package:
This position commands a competitive salary of between £26,180 and £29,400 depending on experience and seniority and the number of sleeps that you complete per month. The company will also support you through gaining additional qualifications including the QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce and further qualifications which will open doors to internal promotion and management positions moving forwards.
